Jane Gulland
Jane was born in Toronto, Canada and studied art at Ryerson University. She started working as a graphic designer in Toronto, and painted watercolours in her spare time.
Jane also worked with Inner City Angels, where she worked with the children painting murals in public schools.
Later she moved to Australia, where she continued working as a graphic artist. At the end of that project she painted full time with acrylics.
Jane has been painting for 20 years, developing very different styles while living in Canada, Australia, the USA and Mexico. Recently she suffered a stroke and lost partial use of one arm. As a result, her artwork has developed a looser, more abstract style.
Jane now lives in San Miguel de Allende in the central highlands of Mexico with her husband Peter, and ‘Jules’, her teacup Morkie.
